Kids Bird Crafts Made Easy
If you’re looking for easy bird crafts kids will love that has little to no prep work and minor clean up, this is kids bird crafts kit for you! Seriously, it’s such an easy one to use!
It’s designed for ages 5 and up. Carrigan did need a bit of help with some glue and peeling some stickers but we still had a pretty good time with this one.
Though I might use it more for the elementary school ages if you want it to be more independent birds craft projects.
What You Get in this Kids Bird Craft Kit
Check out what’s included in the ALEX Toys POPS Craft 3 Happy Birds Kids Bird Craft Kit:
• 136 stickers
• 26 paper shapes
• 3 craft sticks
• Instruction Booklet
One of our favorite thing about the POPS craft kits is that they have have everything you need in a small package!
The kit comes with everything you need to make three complete bird craft projects. That makes it great for a playdate or (if you purchase a few kits) a party!
The best feature of this kit is that each of the three kids bird crafts comes individually packaged!
On a similar note, the biggest drawback is that the kit only comes with one tube of glue.
Each bird has paper shapes that need to be glued on, so I’d recommend having some extra glue sticks on hand if you’re crafting with more than one kid at a time!
With a little help, Carrigan was able to use the little tube of liquid glue that came with the kit. Its definitely designed for kids who are a bit older.
A glue stick worked well on the other two bird craft projects so it’s a good option.
You can snag a pack for a good price on Amazon. Buy yours here if you need some!
Each bird had a handful of paper pieces that had to be glued together to put the body of the bird together. The glue dried pretty quickly but if you’re working with younger kids, you’ll want to be aware that the pieces need to have dry time.
The sticker sheets are flat stickers. There weren’t any puffy stickers. But Carrigan was still able to peel them off on her own without much help.
So the kit works okay for younger kids with assistance from an older child or a parent. Elementary aged kids and older should have no probably being independent with this kids bird craft kit.
The last step is to glue the craft stick to the back of the bird. But it’s not even a necessity! If your child just wants to play with the birds they made, they feel sturdy enough.
Gluing them on the craft sticks was actually the step that proved to be the most challenging for us because Carrigan didn’t want to wait for them to dry before using them as puppets.
Clear tape could be a great solution to this little challenge, if you happen to have some in your junk drawer!
With a little help, we whipped up the three kids bird crafts in about half an hour.
We had extra supplies left over that could be added to our craft box. I actually just swept everything left over in the trash and clean up was done in about a minute!
The ALEX Toys POPS Craft 3 Happy Birds kit is compact in size and everything comes in the little box. This makes it great for stashing away for a rainy day. You could even take it with you if you’re headed somewhere and need something to entertain the kids!
In addition to the bird craft projects, there are tons of other ALEX Toys POPS kits. We’re looking forward to trying a few more!
